Readings will be from the script.  No monologue needed.

Synopsis:

U.S. Army Captain Jack Ludwig, a military doctor stationed in Oregon, begins writing to Louise Rabiner, an aspiring actress and dancer in New York City, hoping to meet her someday if the war will allow. But as the war continues, it threatens to end their relationship before it even starts. Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig (Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery, Lend Me a Tenor) tells the joyous, heartwarming story of his parents’ courtship during World War II and the results are anything but expected.

Descriptions of characters:

U.S. Army Captain Jack Ludwig, a military doctor stationed in Oregon
In his mid to late 30s. He is quite reserved.

Louise Rabiner, an aspiring actress and dancer in New York City,
In her early to mid 20s. She is outgoing and stylish.

Compensation:  Due to the size of the roles and time needed for the rehearsal process, we are offering a $500 stipend at the end of the run for all the hard work presented.

Rehearsals:

Rehearsals will be held at the ARTScentered building at 1007 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver, WA.
